Our FMCG client is in search of a Branch Manager. The position is based at their sales and distribution operation in Cape Town.
The incumbent will be fully responsible for the general management of this sales & distribution operation, including the implementation of strategic initiatives to expand and grow sales of their products in the Cape region.
Responsibilities:
- Managing full branch function.
- Achievement of maximum profitability and revenue growth in line with company objectives and strategies by controlling the development and performance of all sales activities in an assigned market;
- Implementing strategic objectives;
- Implementation and management of systems and procedures;
- Managing all aspects of the operation’s finances and costs;
- Managing stock for the operation;
- Managing human resources and health and safety aspects.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- At least 5 years proven experience in successfully managing a sales & distribution business, with exposure to all aspects relating to sales, marketing, customer service and warehousing;
- The ability to drive the operation strategically with a good understanding of finance and budgets;
- Strong planning and organising skills;
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills together with high energy levels;
- Superior interpersonal skills;
- Computer literacy in Microsoft Office Suite;
- A passion for customer service; and
- Good report-writing and presentation skills.

MILLWRIGHT [TRADE TESTED]
Location: Cape Town
Our client is recruiting a qualified Millwright or Mechanical Technician for their manufacturing plant in Blackheath, Cape Town
Responsibilities:
- Investigate, diagnose and perform trade related maintenance and repair of equipment and machinery according to the maintenance requirements.
- Perform inspections in accordance with the relevent regulations, manufacturing and Company standards.
- Report all defects and breakdowns on equipment and machinery.
- Develop, modify, construct and install related equipment required for the safe operation of all engineering equipment.
- Identify spares requirements and order according to departmental procedure.
- Communicate with clients and supervisors to inform on maintenance activities performed and re-start of equipment.
- Inspect, test and repair MCC, circuites and wiring systems and electrical equipment
- Used, installed and applied fault finding on programmable logical control circuits (PLC's)
- Create and maintain job cards.
- Work overtime, standby and be available for call-outs when required.
Requirements:
- Qualified Millwright or Mechanical Technician (Trade tested)
- At least two years experience in manufacturing.
- Experience with industrial machinery

QUALITY ASSURANCE OFFICER
Location: Cape Town
Our Client, based in Cape Town, is looking for a quality assurance officer to join their team.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with maintaining and revision of all quality and food safety documentation to ensure goals and objectives are met.
- Required to conduct Production Floor inspections throughout the day, assist and collaborate effectively with production department staff relating to food safety, quality, operational efficiencies, and overall optimization process.
- Assist with FSSC internal audits and supplier quality audits (where required).
- Assist with employee GMP, HACCP, and FSSC food safety training.
- Assist with investigating (return of goods) non conformances, root cause analysis, and with development and implementation of corrective actions as required.
- Assist FS Dept with periodic facility inspections, personnel hygiene inspections, Glass & Hard plastic checks, cleaning and sanitation inspections, to ensure compliance with Food Safety standards.
- Assist the Food Safety Quality Supervisor with all initiatives as assigned.
Requirements:
- Food Safety Quality Control/Assurance Certification, Diploma or equivalent
- At least 4 years experience in a similar role.
- FSCC/HACCP or BRC working knowledge.
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
